About the Roundtable
The Second EU-India Sustainable Business Roundtable brings together senior leaders from business, government, international organisations, academia, and civil society to deepen collaboration between the European Union and India on sustainable trade, climate action, economic security, and responsible supply chains.
Building on insights from the first roundtable held in June 2025, this convening focuses on one critical objective: accelerating practical EU–India industry collaboration that strengthens global value chains and supports the evolving EU-India Strategic Partnership.
With EU–India trade ties expanding, sustainability expectations rising, and new regulatory regimes reshaping global supply chains, this roundtable provides a rare opportunity to exchange perspectives, share evidence, and shape the road ahead.
Why Attend?
The evolving EU–India Strategic Partnership emphasizes cooperation in:
- Prosperity & Sustainability (trade, investment, clean transitions)
- Technology & Innovation (digital ecosystems, green technologies)
- Connectivity & Global Governance
- Enablers such as skills, research, and business community involvement
These pillars require strong business collaboration, yet both sides face challenges: fragmented regulations, interoperability gaps, limited SME capacity, and the need for shared tools and metrics.
This roundtable addresses these gaps by asking pointed, practical questions, including:
- Are sustainability investments accelerating or slowing among EU businesses?
- Which sectors and ESG themes are becoming top priorities under the EU-India partnership?
- What conditions enable stronger EU–India collaboration and what barriers must be addressed?
- How can the EU and India create a robust feedback loop between stakeholders in Brussels and New Delhi?
- What policy and operational recommendations can strengthen sustainable business outcomes across both regions?
Who Will Attend
A select, invitation-only group of 25–30 senior experts, including:
- Private sector leaders
- Government representatives
- EU and Indian policymakers
- Think tanks and researchers
- International organisations
- Sustainability and ESG practitioners
This is a high-trust forum held under the spirit of open dialogue and strategic partnership.
